Medical Assistant - Patriot Primary Care

Maintain clinical competency by updating patient records, verifying visit purposes, and obtaining vital signs proficiently. Prepare and sanitize exam rooms, administer medications and vaccines under physician supervision, and process prescription refill requests. Manage medical inventory, ensure equipment operating order, and facilitate preventive maintenance while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and scope of practice standards. Act as a liaison between physician and patient by providing support, chaperoning sensitive examinations, and managing provider schedules. Process specimen collection, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, obtaining prior authorizations and scheduling specialist visits within network limitations. Assist patients with access to care, referrals, and post-visit education while supporting productivity goals and quality measures.
