Job Summary
Medical Assistant/Patient Service Assistant in the Kellogg Cancer Center (Highland Park, IL) is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with responsibilities including answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, patient registration, check-in/check-out, confirming insurances, greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms, documenting vital signs and medical details, providing front office support, and performing basic vitals; phlebotomy and injections may be required. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program is preferred; CPR certification required; MA certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred; one year of related experience is required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program (preferred)
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred
- One year of work experience (required)
- Experience in medical office preferred
