Job Summary
Locate patients, obtain vital signs, triage, and assess medical conditions while preparing individuals for physician and nurse examinations. Order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed, perform phlebotomy, and sterilize instruments. Notify staff when patients are ready for exams, relay symptoms, and assist with various treatment forms. Handle physician requests respectfully, maintain treatment room cleanliness per OSHA guidelines, and restock laundry. Operate medical equipment, complete assigned checklists, and attend staff meetings. Prioritize multitasking while fostering a positive professional atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum typing experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician's office preferred
- Medical candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting are preferred
