Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Patient First responsible for patient intake activities including taking vital signs, triaging, preparing patients for exams, performing phlebotomy and lab duties, coordinating with physicians and nurses, and assisting with x-ray and lab orders. Must proficiently use electronic medical records, maintain sterile treatment rooms, restock supplies, and support center operations while upholding OSHA guidelines and delivering warm, professional service. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multitask, and participate in CPR training; 18+ years old with a high school diploma and preferred 1 year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum typing experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred
- Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work
