Job Summary
Medical Assistant supports clinical operations in a part-time role: room patients and prepare them for examinations, document medical history and vitals in the EMR, assist providers during exams, collect lab specimens, operate EKG equipment, administer medications and vaccines as directed, provide patient education, maintain clean and stocked exam rooms, perform point-of-care testing, and support telehealth visits. Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, Basic Life Support, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR, and availability evenings and some Saturdays. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a medical assistant training program at an accredited institution
- Basic life support certification
- Experience using Microsoft Office software and electronic medical record software
- Availability to work evenings until 9 p.m. and occasional Saturday morning
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel independently between sites
