Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides clinical support, including rooming patients and preparing them for examinations, completing medication reconciliation, recording medical history and vitals in the EMR, assisting providers during examinations, collecting specimens, performing routine diagnostic tests (EKG), preparing and administering medications and vaccines as directed, providing patient education, and maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms. Requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved medical assistant program, BLS, and proficiency with MS Office and EMR software. Availability to work evenings and occasional Saturdays; reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites in Dover, DE. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a medical assistant training program at an accredited institution
- Basic life support certification
- Experience using Microsoft Office software and electronic medical record software
