Job Summary
Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare individuals for X-rays. Perform and document routine labs including throat and urine cultures, irrigate wounds, and assist with quality control testing. Support providers by applying splints, helping patients in distress, and maintaining exam room and waiting room cleanliness. Follow safety practices, protect patient confidentiality, and respond to emergencies by notifying the medical team. Maintain order by stocking supplies and adhering to policies while assisting with service recovery for patient complaints.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
