Job Summary
Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations in a pediatric urgent care setting. Greet and register patients, obtain medical history and vital signs, and prepare them for X-rays. Perform and document routine labs, including throat and urine cultures, irrigate wounds, and assist with quality control testing. Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas, practice safety precautions, and respond to emergencies by notifying the medical team. Keep patient care information confidential and follow all policies and procedures. This role requires flexibility to commute to Rockville, MD or Germantown, MD as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
- Open and flexible to commuting to our sister offices in Rockville, MD and/or Germantown, MD as business needs require and at leadership's request
