Job Summary
Conduct front and back desk operations by greeting patients, registering arrivals, obtaining medical histories, and recording vital signs. Perform clinical tasks including preparing patients for X-rays, documenting routine labs, irrigating wounds, and assisting with quality control testing. Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas while ensuring patient confidentiality and responding to emergencies. Support providers with procedures such as applying splints and assist with service recovery for patient complaints. Work in a fast-paced pediatric urgent care setting under physician supervision, maintaining order and following safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
