Job Summary
Greet, register, and obtain medical histories and vital signs for patients arriving at the urgent care setting. Perform routine labs including throat and urine cultures, assist with wound irrigation, and help patients with distress by notifying the medical team. Maintain exam rooms and waiting areas, manage front reception supplies, and ensure patient confidentiality while following all safety practices and policies. Provide clinical and administrative support to providers within the physician's direct supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge or EKG placement and processing in children
- Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab, and venipuncture
- Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong communications and organizational skills
- Prior pediatric experience
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willing to learn medical software
- Experience with medical records
