Medical Assistant, Paramedic, Advanced EMT

Job Summary
Conduct triage, take vital signs, and document patient histories in the EMR system while assisting with patient preparation for examinations. Administer medications and non-intravenous injections, including intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal shots, and perform clinical procedures such as starting IVs, placing catheters, and splinting. Collect routine laboratory specimens and support Occupational Medicine services, including drug screening and pulmonary function testing, while enforcing HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Oversee quality assurance programs and CLIA waived laboratory requirements. Operate office medical equipment and travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as needed. Full-time 3-day/12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM with no overnight rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified or registered as a Paramedic, Advanced-EMT or Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (e.g., AMT for RMA/NHA or AAMA for CMA)
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration
- Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required
