Job Summary
Conduct triage, take vital signs, and document patient history in the EMR system while administering medications and performing injections, IVs, and catheter placements. Collect laboratory specimens, assist with occupational medicine services including drug screening and pulmonary function testing, and enforce HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Operate medical equipment and oversee quality assurance for CLIA waived laboratory requirements. Support staffing needs by traveling to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required. Full-time 3-day/12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM with no overnight work.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified or registered as a Paramedic, Advanced-EMT or Medical Assistant through an accredited organization
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration
- Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required
Desired Qualifications
- Urgent care or ER experience
- Experience with EPIC software
- Willingness to train outstanding new graduates
