Job Summary
Prepare patients for examinations, administer medications and injections, and perform clinical procedures including IV starts and catheter placement. Collect laboratory specimens, document patient histories in the EMR system, and triage patients while monitoring vital signs. Support Occupational Medicine services by conducting drug screenings, breath alcohol tests, and pulmonary function testing. Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance, oversee quality assurance programs, and perform general administrative tasks. Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required to support staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified or registered as a Paramedic, Advanced-EMT or Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (e.g., AMT for RMA/NHA or AAMA for CMA)
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration
- Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required
