Job Summary
Medical Assistant role supporting pain management practitioners in medication management, interventional treatments, pain psychology, and addiction counseling; responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs, documenting chief complaints, medications, and allergies, and assisting with treatments; promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education; schedule is 90% FTE daytime Monday–Friday (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with one off day every other week; benefits include health/dental insurance, PTO, retirement plans, parental leave, and tuition benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or Licensure as an LPN or Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
- CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
