Job Summary
Conduct non-invasive medical procedures by taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams. Maintain exam rooms, perform patient intake duties including reporting test results and phone triage, and document medical information as directed. Support administrative functions such as pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, and managing clinic communications. Monitor and requisition supplies to ensure appropriate inventory levels. Educate patients on medications and diets while maintaining an organized workload. Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for an employer
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
- Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and medical record systems
- Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
