Job Summary
Medical Assistant to join a primary care care team, performing both clinical and front-desk duties. Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing blood draws, administering injections and immunizations, assisting with procedures, coordinating with labs, preparing medications, and supporting care planning with the provider. Front desk tasks include scheduling, medical record requests and abstraction, documentation, coordinating referrals, and patient check-in/check-out. Will document in the medical record, process test results, and participate in patient outreach to drive engagement. Requires graduation from an MA program, MA certification/registration (where required), CPR/BLS, and phlebotomy experience; 1 year of MA experience preferred. The role supports in-person patient care at the Owensboro, KY location and offers full-time scheduling with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (preferably in Primary Care)
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration (strongly preferred; required in states where certification/registration is required)
- CPR/BLS certification required at start date
- Phlebotomy experience
- Urine drug screen collection procedures
- MA certification or registration may be required for employment in certain states
