Job Summary
Medical Assistant in outpatient oncology providing both administrative and clinical support to ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities include EMR documentation, patient vital signs, venipuncture and basic lab procedures, patient preparation and assessment, administering certain medications as directed by physicians, assisting with examinations and treatments, and cross-training in patient registration and medical records support as needed. Must be skilled in patient communication, teamwork, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care; bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Diploma program from an accredited educational institute. Medical Assistant Certificate preferred, not required.
