Job Summary

The Medical Assistant supports both administrative and clinical operations in an outpatient oncology clinic. Responsibilities include EMR documentation, patient chart preparation, vital signs, intake documentation, assisting with examinations and procedures, venipunctures, injections, basic lab procedures, and administration of certain medications as directed. Cross-training in patient registration and medical records is available. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work effectively in a team and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Diploma program from an accredited educational institute
  • Medical Assistant Certificate preferred, not required
  • 2 years of experience as Medical Assistant or related role in outpatient clinic/medical office preferred
  • BLS and CPR certification preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
