Job Summary
Medical Assistant in Orthopedics supporting the practice operations and surgery-scheduling workflow. Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, charting, preparing patients for examinations (including vitals, updating medications and allergies), assisting with injections/immunizations, coordinating with care teams and providers, managing administrative tasks, coordinating with hospital discharge and labs, maintaining supplies and clinical waste disposal, and contributing to quality-improvement initiatives. Requires High School degree or equivalent, one year of clinical experience or MA program graduation, and BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
