MEDICAL ASSISTANT - ORTHOPEDICS BUTLER

Medical Assistant in Orthopedics (Butler or Clarion, PA) performs direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of the Nurse/physician, including lab tests, treatments, and immunization administration. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, collecting vital signs and demographics, documenting accurately, assisting with scheduling and coordinating procedures, performing phlebotomy, ensuring patient safety and infection-control compliance, and supporting clerical/clinical staff with office functions and records. Requires strong communication, organizational skills, ability to handle sensitive information, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel). Preferred: outpatient office experience, Medical Assistant Certification, Act 33/34/73 FBI clearances, CPR certification. Travel between Independence Health locations may be expected; shifts rotate; Lean principles encouraged.
