Medical Assistant Orthopedics

Medical Assistant Orthopedics position in Sun City West, AZ. Provides direct patient care and supports clinicians and nursing staff, including preparing patients, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomies, taking EKGs, and assisting with in-office procedures. Coordinates patient care through pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicates test results and supports billing/documentation. Maintains clean, functional exam rooms, handles supplies and equipment, and ensures compliance with OSHA and safety guidelines. On-boarding and simulation training completed as needed; role works under provider supervision within Banner Medical Group. Requires completion of an approved MA training program, HS diploma/GED or equivalent, current MA certification (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA or equivalent), and BLS. Strong computer and communication skills are essential, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a clinical environment.
