Job Summary

Assists providers in exams and office procedures; maintains supply inventory in exam rooms, cleans and sterilizes equipment, and draws blood. Supports front office functions and serves as a primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers. Performs point-of-care labs including blood draws and EKGs, and conducts simple non-sterile wound care/dressing changes. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient patient care, with attention to patient age and cultural diversity. Maintains detailed, accurate documentation and ensures patient confidentiality; assists with scheduling, referrals, pre-certifications, and prior authorizations as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, completion of recognized medical assistant training, and current CPR certification with certification exam to be completed within 6 months of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from a recognized training facility for medical assistants
  • Current CPR certification
  • Required to pass certification exam within 6 months of hire
