Job Summary
Medical Assistant position working in Orchid Health’s Oregon clinics (Estacada and Sandy; coverage as needed) with responsibilities that include greeting and rooming patients, accurately documenting patient histories (Family/ Social/ Health History and Surgeries), recording vitals, inputting information into the electronic health record, administering screening questionnaires, managing pain-contract follow-ups, processing prescription refills under standing orders, performing blood draws and lab processing, operating centrifuge and autoclave as required, following infectious disease protocols, conducting urinalysis and other point-of-care tests, performing EKGs and Spirometry, administering immunizations and vaccines, auditing preventive health metrics, and maintaining inventory and clinic readiness; travel locally within Oregon as needed. Requires ability to work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with strong teamwork, communication, and patient-focused care; compensation $22.50–$24.50/hour plus comprehensive benefits. Mastery of patient interactions, accurate charting, and adherence to clinic guidelines are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one full year of experience in a primary care office
- BLS Certification required
- Strong ability to show compassion and professionalism when interacting with patients and maintain a calm, professional, and respectful demeanor
- Strong ability to adapt your behavior and actions as needed based on constructive feedback
- Strong ability to collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team
