Job Summary
Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments in an OB/GYN clinic; assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments; collect laboratory specimens and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record. Coordinate patient care activities including referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-up appointments. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies; support patient calls and portal communications. Maintain professional standards of patient confidentiality and empathy while contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered care team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse OR Certified Medical Assistant OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) OR CMA from an accredited certifying organization
- RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire/transfer or before providing independent patient care
