Job Summary
Conduct patient triage, obtain vital signs, and document detailed histories in the EMR system. Administer medications and perform clinical procedures such as IV starts, catheter placement, and splinting. Collect laboratory specimens, perform drug screening, and assist with occupational medicine testing while maintaining HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Operate medical equipment and oversee quality assurance protocols for CLIA waived labs. Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required to support staffing needs. Full-time 3-day shifts with no overnight coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ year of healthcare experience
- Proficiency in venipuncture
- Proficiency in injections
- Proficiency in clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work holidays
- Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required
Desired Qualifications
- Urgent care experience
- ER experience
- Experience using EPIC software
- Willingness to train outstanding new graduates
