Job Summary
Medical Assistant or EMT role at Piedmont Urgent Care focusing on hands-on patient care, triage, vital signs, specimen collection, injections, IV starts, catheter placement, CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and occupational medicine support. Responsibilities include patient preparation, documenting history in EMR, administrative duties, and traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and 1+ year healthcare experience preferred; proficiency with EMR/EPIC and various clinical procedures is expected. A 3-day/12-hour full-time shift schedule (7 AM–7 PM or 8 AM–8 PM) with no overnights and benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401K, and certification reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ year healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus)
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented, patient-care focused
