Job Summary
Medical Assistant or AEMT to join Piedmont Urgent Care in Woodstock, GA. Key responsibilities include patient preparation, triage and vital signs, documenting patient histories in EMR, collecting routine lab specimens, administering medications and non-intravenous injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal), starting IVs, placing catheters, performing splinting, and supporting basic clinical and laboratory procedures. Supports Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, pulmonary function testing) while ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Administrative duties and office procedures, proficiency with EMR software (EPIC preferred), quality assurance, and adherence to CLIA waived lab requirements. Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed. Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or AEMT (urgent care or ER a plus)
- Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
