Job Summary
Medical Assistants at Heritage Valley Medical Group perform vital signs collection, patient history intake, specimen collection, basic laboratory tests, and administration of injections and medications as directed by providers. They also handle administrative duties like supply ordering, medical record maintenance, referrals and authorizations, and appointment scheduling. Candidates must complete applicable clearances and have computer experience. There is a hiring bonus available for full-time positions, along with a Medical Assistant Certification Incentive Program for those requiring certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- CPR Certification
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
- Computer experience
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
- Minimum of one year medical assisting experience
- Proficient in venipuncture
