Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician providing patient care support in ophthalmology, assisting doctors with preliminary testing, managing patient flow, verifying insurance, and maintaining EMR data; requires willingness to train, strong customer service, basic computer skills, and ability to work over 40 hours with occasional weekends; position based in Glasgow, KY with travel to Bowling Green and mileage reimbursement offered; must have reliable transportation and HIPAA compliance. Primary duties include facilitating patient flow, performing tests (dilations, refraction, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, topography), and effective communication with patients, doctors, and managers; office environment with frequent movement and physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
