Medical Assistant - On Call

Prepare exam rooms with instruments and supplies, then clean and stock them at day's end. Review patient history, medications, and procedure understanding to document in EMA, ensuring MIPS information is accurately completed. Assist providers during surgical procedures like excisions and Mohs surgery, while managing scheduling for tests and treatments. Support the front desk by answering phones and coordinating reception assistance. Perform spore testing on the autoclave, check medication expiration dates, and maintain records of date checks. Keep the biopsy book, slides, and pathology reports current, recording results in patient charts. Process prescription refills with proper authorization and manage the pathology and culture log. This role requires substantial multitasking and task management to ensure timely completion of all responsibilities.
