Job Summary
Review provider schedules, prepare exam rooms, and perform preliminary physical tests including vital signs and patient interviews. Assist clinical staff with exams and procedures while administering medications and collecting laboratory samples for CLIA waived testing. Complete lab orders, referrals, and medication refills, then schedule follow-up appointments. Clean and restock exam rooms, inventory supplies, and maintain equipment through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Safeguard patient information by completing medical records and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Perform clinic opening and closing procedures, contribute to quality assurance initiatives, and participate in required audits. Work across various Omni clinic locations in the Central Valley while adhering to state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of training consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California
- Current and valid Venipuncture certification
- Current and valid Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to travel and work at various Omni clinic locations
