Medical Assistant - Obstetrical Clinic

Job Summary
Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the obstetrical clinic, serving as the first point of patient care. Room and prepare patients using specific checklists or procedures, measuring vital signs including weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Document required patient care information such as medical histories and referral requests while assisting with day-to-day operations to ensure optimal patient care and clinic functionality. Work Monday through Friday for 40 hours weekly. A credentialed medical assistant or one with relevant experience is required, along with BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
- BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
