Job Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) supports physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners with clerical duties, patient flow, and care procedures. Responsibilities include preparing examination rooms, escorting patients, maintaining patient flow, scheduling appointments, documenting patient information in EHR, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates need a high school diploma, completion of an accredited medical assistant program, and competencies in communication, organization, and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, required
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, preferred
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required
- Basic proficiency in computer use, required
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required
