Job Summary
Assist physicians, PAs, and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and procedures. Prepare examination rooms, escort patients, and ensure proper visit preparation. Obtain vital signs, document in EHR, and manage appointment scheduling and referrals. Reconcile encounters daily, stock supplies, and adhere to universal safety precautions. Provide scribing services and facilitate care transitions to UCC or hospital. Communicate concerns to supervisors and troubleshoot departmental equipment. Maintain proficiency with medical equipment and follow prescription control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program
- 0-1 year related work experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Basic proficiency in computer use
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed
