Job Summary
Obtain vital signs, administer injections, and perform medication administration under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Assist in providing patient care to assigned patients while fully competent in the clinical needs of the clinic location. Perform all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant role in accordance with established policies and regulations. Maintain National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Requires minimum one year of work experience including six months of healthcare and six months of medical assistant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- 6 months of Healthcare experience
- 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
