Job Summary
Clean and stock the clinical environment, perform phlebotomy, prepare specimens for lab transport, and take vital signs. Assist with patient flow, answer phones, schedule appointments, collect payments, and update the electronic medical record. Provide general clinical support to physicians and staff while ensuring the OB/GYN area is ready for patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of healthcare experience
- One year of medical terminology experience
- Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard
- Experience in clinical pharmacology
- BLS certification
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Graduation from a medical assisting degree/program
- One year of healthcare/medical - primary care/office experience
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
