Job Summary
The Medical Assistant I supports clinicians in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered medical care across multiple centers, handles general office duties and patient records, and ensures a compassionate patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The role requires completing a recognized Medical Assistant training program, maintaining BLS certification, and being willing to travel between Honor Community Health locations as needed. It is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Lead Medical Assistant, Practice Manager, or Director of Health Center Operations. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of competency-based Medical Assistant training program
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- 3+ months in a similar clinical position
- Strong computer skills and experience with EMR (NextGen preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work between other locations when needed
