Job Summary
Provide medical assisting or LPN nursing within a fast-paced primary care clinic. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams and treatments (taking vitals and medical histories), performing venipuncture, EKGs, urinalysis, and immunizations, maintaining clean exam rooms and sterilizing equipment, educating patients on medications and preventive health, assisting providers with minor procedures and physicals, managing referrals, test scheduling, patient records, and supply inventory, and adhering to safety, infection-control, and regulatory guidelines (CLIA, OSHA). Additional responsibilities for LPNs include triaging medical questions, monitoring HIT tools and alerts, conducting hospital discharge follow-ups, acting as a nursing consultant to care team, and collaborating on treatment planning. Must have High School/GED; Medical Assistant Certification or RMA preferred or LPN/GPN with MO NCLEX within 90 days. Schedule 7:30am-4:30pm; onsite in Raymore, Missouri with some Lee's Summit coverage. Retention bonuses offered per policy. Required Qualifications
- High School/GED required
- Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred OR LPN or GPN (must pass MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation)
- Knowledge of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred OR LPN or GPN (must pass MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation)
