Job Summary
Medical Assistant performs point-of-care tests (laboratory tests, EKGs), phlebotomy, vital signs, histories, and screenings; prepares patients and rooms for visits; administers PO/IM/ID medications as directed; provides patient instruction on medications and diet; supports brand marketing and increases patient volume; maintains cleanliness and equipment in treatment areas; demonstrates kindness and compassion in all patient interactions; ensures accurate documentation and communication of care and services to patients and providers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment
- Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred
