Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed for multiple New York locations. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams (vital signs, medical history, etc.), assisting doctors and nurses with procedures (EKGs, injections, phlebotomy), maintaining patient records and updating EHR, educating patients on treatments and aftercare, handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, insurance verification, and referrals, and keeping exam rooms sanitized and organized. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; Medical Assistant Certification OR relevant experience; BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire); ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment; experience with EHR (Epic preferred) is a plus; bilingual is an advantage. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with 8 hours per day and locations across several NY sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant Certification OR relevant experience
- BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Experience with EHR (Epic preferred) is a plus
- Bilingual is an advantage
