Job Summary
Medical Assistant (Ambulatory) in an ENT ambulatory care setting. The MA collects subjective and objective health data, communicates data to the provider, assists in care across the lifespan, and transmits the provider's instructions to patients. Duties include obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, observing and reporting symptoms, and performing point-of-care testing under supervision. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and BLS within six months; multiple national certifications (e.g., CMA, CCMA, CMAC, NCMA, RMA) or state registrations may be required depending on location. The role supports a team in a large rural health system and is based in Marshfield, WI, with standard daytime hours and a 32-hour weekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment
- Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA) or CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/RMA/etc. acceptable per state requirements
- Ability to obtain ND MAIII registration if in North Dakota; MN/IA/SD/OR not requiring state registration as applicable
