Job Summary
Conduct patient intake by greeting individuals professionally, assist with mobility, and prepare examination rooms while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Perform clinical tasks including drawing blood, suture/staple removal, casting assistance, and facilitating orders for physical therapy scripts and labs. Transport medical equipment and supplies, requiring the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and stand for long periods. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a positive experience for all patients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar)
- Medical Assistant experience
- Familiarity with working with an EMR (Opening up patient charts, scanning and uploading documents, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health records
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend and squat
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PRP equipment
- Medical Assistant experience (1 year)
