Job Summary
Medical Assistant-Neurology position at Northwestern Medicine. Full-time, 40 hours/week, travel between Lake Forest and Lake Bluff clinics with occasional coverage in Grayslake and Glenview. Schedule Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm. Responsible for supporting physicians and nurses, facilitating efficient patient flow, assisting with procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations), preparing exam rooms, and performing related administrative tasks. Requires high school diploma or GED and a current medical assistant certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or eligible within six months) plus BLS/CPR. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current certification in CMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NRCMA or eligible to obtain certification within six months (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA, CCMA)
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (preferred)
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program (preferred)
- One to two years of ambulatory care experience (preferred)
- Experience with electronic medical record (preferred)
