Job Summary
Provide supportive patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Perform clerical functions and attend education programs, unit meetings, and assigned committees. Share responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel within your skill level. Maintain a safe environment and promote efficient operations while supporting the neurology department's comprehensive services including epilepsy monitoring, stroke care, and neurophysiologic testing. This role requires a National Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification, BLS certification, and proof of specific immunizations. Starting pay begins at $19.68/hr.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience
- 1 year of experience in patient or customer facing roles
- National Certified Medical Assistant required upon hire
- BLS certification Required Upon Hire
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Required Upon Hire
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required Upon Hire
- Seasonal influenza vaccine
- Willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
