Job Summary
Provide patient care under the direction of the Provider, including preparing patients for examination, taking vitals, and performing treatments as applicable. Prepare/sterilize exam rooms and maintain supplies; administer injections and wound care per orders; collect blood and other specimens, log results, and perform lab call-backs; authorize prescription information to pharmacies; document care in electronic medical records; schedule tests and follow-up appointments; instruct patients and families on treatment and medications; collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure seamless patient care; perform phlebotomy; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA)
- Current BLS certification
