Job Summary
Medical Assistant at United Urology Group coordinates clinical care and supports physicians and the clinical supervisor. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, escorting patients, taking vital signs, obtaining urine specimens and performing dip/urinalysis and microscopic prep as indicated, triaging patient calls for pharmacy requests and test results, documenting outcomes in the EHR, and maintaining logs for OSHA/MOSHA. Ensures sterilization and proper disposal of biomedical waste, welcomes patients, and supports a fast-paced clinical environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience, proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, injections, vitals, and processing specimens; strong communication and computer skills; willingness to travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region;典 HIPAA compliance; ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region is expected. Pay range: $20.00-$22.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or higher
- Completion of Medical Assistant program or one year Medical Assistant experience
- Urology experience is a plus
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred
- Proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections, obtaining vitals, and processing specimens
