Job Summary
Manage patient intakes by ensuring accurate information recording and collecting lab specimens including venipuncture and diagnostic tests. Record patients' vital signs, prepare them for examinations, and assist providers during visits with all office procedures. Sterilize medical equipment and instruments, perform EKGs and point-of-care testing, and assist support staff with data entry. Requires a Medical Assistant Certificate, High School Diploma, and proficiency with an EMR system. Schedule includes 5/8.5 hour shifts Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- A Medical Assistant Certificate

- Proficiency with an EMR system
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

- Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
