Job Summary
Assists providers with non-invasive medical procedures, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams, while performing patient intake duties such as reporting test results and phone triage. Prepares and cleans exam rooms before visits, reviews daily logs, and supports administrative tasks like pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance eligibility. Educates patients on medications and diets, monitors supply inventory, and maintains organized workloads with prompt service to all clinic stakeholders. This role supports efficient clinic operations under provider supervision with no weekends, holidays, or call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for an employer
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Comply with all policies and standards
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
- Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and medical record systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional service to patients and staff
- Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
- Effective time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
