Job Summary
Support the clinical team in Pennock Medical Arts Building by performing patient intake, vital signs monitoring, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Assist physicians with charting, documentation, and managing patient flow during the 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. day shift. Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with vaccine requirements including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza. This role is open to candidates with a Medical Assistant training program or one year of experience in direct patient care, offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- One of the following certifications: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
Desired Qualifications
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 Days
- One of the following certifications: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) within 120 Days
