Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant position at Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates in Middletown, CT. Responsible for supporting clinical operations in an orthopedic/specialty setting, including rooming patients, preparing exam rooms, performing initial patient interviewing and history documentation, assisting with imaging and DME requests, preparing injectable medications, assisting with US-guided procedures, casting and brace fitting, wound care, and coordinating with EHR and radiology. Requires knowledge of medical terminology, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to work in a high-stress environment, and familiarity with Word/Outlook; orthopedic/casting experience and MA certification preferred. Travel to satellite offices may be required. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; MA certification or completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred (CAAHEP/ABHES) with CNA/EMT pathways also considered.
